The model new guidelines require all charcoal shipments to be declared as dangerous objects beneath the Worldwide Maritime Dangerous Objects (IMDG) Code. There are moreover new remedy, packing and stowage requirements for shipments of charcoal.
The World Transport Council has been instrumental in negotiating and rising these important enhancements to worldwide guidelines.
